His name is Rune and he will be staying an Eevee most likely! I'll continue hatching and see if I can get another one sometime- really wishing for a female one, but the chances of that are even lower haha. If I get another male, I will likely hold some sort of giveaway for him.

I was breeding for good stats as well while I was hunting for this shiny, so he actually has 4 perfect IVs- in HP, Def, Sp.Atk, and Sp.Def!

Pokemon X and Y are such great games for people who love shinies! The shiny encounter rate seems to have increased in general for randomly finding one, but then of course there's also "Fishing Chaining" and PokeRadar chaining, as well as some evidence that Friend Safaris and Horde Battles may have an increased shiny encounter too.

This little guy is actually my fifth shiny in X, after my random shiny Foongus in a horde, two Pikachus in a row from a PokeRadar chain of 46 and 47, and a chain fished Corsola. My favorite way of getting a shiny Pokemon by far is the PokeRadar, I've always had good results from it even in the older games.
