For those who are unfamiliar with the commission process I use:Commission Process
- Send me a note with a clear visual reference(s) of what you want me to draw. Adding a written description helps a lot! Be sure to include the gender, species, and name of the character(s) along with any other important details of their appearance for best results. I do not accept commissions that only have a written description--the only exception to this rule is if you are commissioning me for a character design specifically.
- Be sure to note what type of commission you'd like, and specify any preferences in coloring style/pose/expression, etc. Feel free to link other images for me to use as references, it can help me better understand your vision.
- Adding up the total cost of the commission and including your preferred payment method details (such as your Paypal email address) in the note streamlines the process. If you're unsure about the total, you can ask me to tally it!
- I will send you a payment request/invoice, or give you a link where you can send payment. Do not send payment on your own without my go ahead.
- Once the work is complete, I will send it to you for final approval.
By commissioning me, you are agreeing to the terms outlined below.
Payment
- Payment is required in full, upfront unless otherwise discussed. Prices are in USD. Payment can be received via Paypal, Stripe, or Square Cash.
- I will not begin work until the full payment is received.
- Refunds: I will refund you 100% if I haven't started your commission yet at the time of your asking for a refund. No full refunds are permitted if I have already started on the work. Partial refund may be applicable in such cases.
Delivery
- Please allow at least 1-4 weeks for completion. If any other delays arise, I will notify you immediately to discuss resolution. If that time passes without any word from me, feel free to message me for updates. If you need your commission completed by a certain time, rush fees are available.
- Once the work is complete, I will send you the finished image via note.
- I will gladly fix any minor mistakes or overlooked details, just kindly point them out!
- Large corrections, such as redrawing or recoloring bigger sections of an image, will incur an extra fee. To ensure everything is as you want it beforehand, ask me for work in progress (WIP) previews along the way. I can offer 1 WIP preview per stage of completion (sketch, lineart, coloring). Check your commission on my Trello Queue Board to see which stage your commission is in. Correcting the in-progress version is much easier than correcting a finished piece, and will not incur extra charges.
- If I so choose, I will upload the image to my galleries. If you'd like me to keep it private and unposted, I will charge a 25% fee, as not posting my work does not help promote my career. If applicable, I'll waive the fee if you allow me to recolor or edit the image and post the edited version.
- If I so wish, I can choose NOT to upload a commission in my galleries at my own discretion. If this is the case, you will receive the files via private links.
- Let me know who I should be crediting in the picture for the character(s), or if anyone wants to be listed as anonymous for any reason; otherwise I will just list the commissioner's username.
Artist Rights
- I hold full rights to all of my produced work. I also retain the right to use the image for anything I wish, such as for promotion or the ability to post it in other galleries of mine (Deviantart, Tumblr, my website, etc). I claim all rights to the intellectual property of the drawing itself. I reserve the right to reproduce, distribute, and display the produced work in any way; whether for promotion or profit. Note that I will only use produced work for profit if the characters are mine or are direct designs from a fandom (ie, Pokemon, Steven Universe, etc ). I will not profit off of anyone's personal or fan-characters.
- I reserve the right to refuse a commission for any reason.
Your Rights
You MAY:
- Post the image to your galleries, as long as you credit me and/or link back to me
- Use the artwork for personal uses, such as decoration of your page, using it as an icon/avatar, or printing/displaying it in your home
- Take credit for my work or post it without credit to me
- Remove my watermark/signature
- Edit or alter the work itself without my permission
- Reproduce or commercially use or sell my work (Absolutely NO making profits off of my work in any way, shape, or form!)
By purposefully breaking these terms of service, you will possibly be publicly blacklisted, as well as banned from buying from me again.
